Gangwon-do
Yangyang
RIIZE have travelled to Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province to film their first-ever reality TV show, Boss RIIZE. The RIIZE members say they decide things by voting. In Boss RIIZE, the members vote to decide the boss, and they have to do whatever the boss tells them to do on each trip. If you want to learn more about the places the members visit, join the special event organized by the Hallyu Special Hall. Answer fun quizzes and you might be lucky enough to win the RIIZE members’ picture diaries and autographed posters.
The refreshing beach with a fragrant pine forest where the RIIZE members voted for their first boss is Deungmyeong Beach in Gangneung. Although popular with locals, the beach is relatively unknown to tourists. It offers a long, 800-meter stretch of find sand and a clear sea that sparkles like emeralds under the sun. A 30-minute walk will take you to Jeongdongjin Station, one of the most popular spots for Koreans to watch the sunrise, and also listed in the Guinness World Records as the train station closest to the sea.
