TvN’s variety show Earth Arcade, featuring popular K-pop stars like Mimi (OH MY GIRL), An Yujin (IVE), and rapper Lee Youngji, has captured the hearts of many. Recently, its spin-off Earth Arcade’s Vroom Vroom was released, featuring beginner driver An Yujin and comedian Lee Eunji as they take the wheel for a trip to Gapyeong with the cast members, which has garnered over 30 million views on YouTube. Exploring Seoul on foot is enjoyable, but why not rent a car and embark on a journey to nearby small cities, like the Earth Arcade Warriors (the nickname for the cast of Earth Arcade’s Vroom Vroom), during this cool season? A romantic day awaits you, with a sheep farm, hanok (traditional Korean house), and delicious local cuisine.

Gapyeong Sheep Farm has a farm and a café. Here, you can interact with sheep, alpacas, and donkeys. At the ticket booth, you can purchase tickets for various experiences, including bottle-feeding lambs, feeding hay to sheep, and walking with alpacas. It’s common to buy a package that allows you to enjoy both feeding the animals and the café, just like in Earth Arcade. When feeding sheep, be aware of them as hungry ones can rush to you. Afterward, you can relax at the café with some desserts and browse the merchandise shop, where An Yujin purchased a sheep bag.

Neolmijae Gogaenmaru Sanchaega is the first dining spot on An Yujin's Gapyeong trip featured in Earth Arcade. She personally selected this restaurant due to her love for Korean cuisine. True to its inland location surrounded by mountains, the place specializes in fragrant sannamul (wild vegetables) and deodeokgui (grilled deodeok), offering a mostly vegetarian menu that is perfect for plant-based eaters. The Earth Arcade Warriors ordered grilled beef and deodeok and kongbiji (soy pulp stew). An Yujin was amazed by the taste of the kongbiji, while Lee Youngji couldn’t get enough of the bulgogi on her first bite. They mentioned that while deodeok can sometimes be chewy, it was very tender and easy to eat. Guests can use the burners and frying pans provided in the restaurant to fried eggs themselves for a hearty meal made from fresh, natural ingredients.

Yaongine is a hanok pension where Earth Arcade Warriors stayed for two nights. With a cozy atmosphere reminiscent of a countryside grandmother's home, featuring traditional elements like a fireplace and porch, it has become a popular destination for "country-cation" (a vacation enjoyed in the countryside). One of its main advantages is that it's an entire house, allowing guests to relax comfortably without encountering other groups. The barbecue area is in the backyard, where Earth Arcade Warriors grilled dakgalbi (spicy stir-fried chicken). You can even try chopping firewood for a unique experience! Additionally, this place has been featured in various shows such as I Live Alone and My Little Old Boy. You might have the chance to meet the owner's adorable cat during your stay.
