Airports in Korea offers diverse affordable transportation options, such as subway trains, buses, and taxis, to the center of the city. In particular, Incheon International Airport is a major traffic hub that is connected major cities across the country. Gimhae International Airport, Jeju International Airports, and other regional airports also have great accessibility to downtown cities. Read on to find the most suitable mode of transportation based on your itinerary and travel needs.
Airport Limousine Buses have multiple routes that run between Incheon International Airport and various areas throughout Korea. Payment by cash or transportation card is not accepted and you must buy a bus ticket in advance. Ticket offices in Terminal 1 are located on the 1st floor inside the airport (between Gates No. 4 & 9; No. 6 & 7; 8 & 9; and 10 & 11) or outside (located between Gates No. 3 & 4; No. 7 & 8; and 11 & 12). Terminal 2 has both a manned ticket office and a ticket vending machine on B1F Transportation Center.
Most public transportation that travel from the airport to the center of Seoul finish their operation at around 23:30. Identified by the letter “N” in front of the route number, night buses are an affordable transportation option if you arrive in Korea late at night. These night buses run to Seoul (Gangnam Express Bus Terminal, Cheonyangni, DDP, Gwangnaru Station, etc.) and Gyeonggi-do (Goyang, Seongnam Suwon, Namyangju, etc.). Payment by cash or transportation card is not accepted and you must buy a bus ticket in advance at a ticket booth or from a ticket vending machine.
Taxis are divided into standard taxis, premium deluxe taxis, jumbo taxis, and international taxis with foreign language services. Standard taxis and deluxe taxis can be found at the taxi platform outside the waiting area of Incheon International Airport Terminals 1 and 2. To take an international taxi, you need to make a reservation in advance. Accepted payment methods include cash, credit cards, and transportation cards.

From Gimpo International Airport, you can reach central Seoul via AREX or the subway. The AREX All-Stop Train takes approximately 23 minutes to Seoul Station. The Seoul Metropolitan Subway system, including Lines 5 and 9, the Gimpo Goldline, and the Seohae Line, offers convenient access to central Seoul and surrounding areas within about an hour.

Airport Limousine Buses operate from Gimpo International Airport to various areas in Seoul as well as Incheon International Airport. To take a limousine bus, exit through Gate 1 on the 1st floor in the international terminal and hop on a bus at Platform 6 or 7 and, at the domestic terminal, walk out of Gate 6 on the 1st floor and get on a bus on Platform 3, 4, 5 or exit through Gate 4, 5, or 6 to take a bus from platform 13, 14 or 15. The ticket office is located near Gate 1 on the 1st floor of the domestic terminal. You can pay by cash, credit card, or transportation cards.
Seoul city buses make more stops than the Airport Limousine Buses, allowing travelers to get off closer to their destination. The city bus is on Platform 4 near Gate 3 on the 1st floor of the international flights terminal as well as Platform 2 or 6 near Gate 6 of the domestic terminal. Accepted payment methods include cash (limited to certain destinations), credit cards (international cards not accepted) and transportation cards.
There are standard taxis, deluxe taxis, jumbo taxis, and international taxis with foreign language services. The taxi stands are located by Exit 3 on the 1st floor of the international terminal as well as in front of Exit 6 of the domestic terminal. International taxis require a reservation in advance. Accepted payment methods include cash, credit cards, and transportation cards.

Airport Limousine Buses operate routes to Seomyeon-Bujeon and Haeundae-Gijang. Boarding is available at Platform 3 between Gates 2 and 3 on the 1st floor of the international terminal. Cash and transortation cards are not accepted, and tickets must be purchased in advance at the ticket counter near Gate 4.
Gimhae International Airport is connected to the Busan–Gimhae Light Rail Transit (LRT) via Airport Station. From there, transfer at Sasang Station to Busan Metro Line 2 to reach major attractions. Travel time is approximately 30 minutes to Seomyeon, 50 minutes to Gwangalli, and 70 minutes to Haeundae.

Standard, deluxe, and jumbo taxis are available to major areas in Busan. The taxi stand is located across from the bus stop on the 2nd floor of the international terminal. Payment can be made by cash, credit card, or transportation card. Travel time is approximately 40 minutes to the Seomyeon or Bujeon area and 70 minutes to Gwangalli or Haeundae.
Airport Limousine Buses operate routes from Jeju International Airport to the Seogwipo area. The limousine bus stop is located outside Gate 5 on the 1st floor. Bus No. 600 and No. 601 provide access to the Jungmun Tourist Complex and Jusangjeolli Cliff area. Cash is not accepted; payment must be made using a transportation card.
City buses from Jeju International Airport provide access to a wider range of destinations than limousine buses, allowing you to get closer to your destination. Bus stops for routes to Pyoseon and Seongsan are located outside Gates 1 and 2 on the 1st floor, while routes to Aewol and Hyeopjae depart from Gate 4. Fares can be paid by cash (not available on some routes), credit card, or transportation card.
Standard and deluxe taxis are available to major attractions across Jeju. The taxi stand is located across the crosswalk outside Gate 5 on the 1st floor. Payment can be made by cash, credit card, or transportation card. Travel time is approximately 40 minutes to Aewol and Hamdeok, 50 minutes to the Jungmun Tourist Complex and Hallasan Mountain, and 80 minutes to Seongsan Ilchulbong Tuff Cone.
City buses provide convenient access to downtown Cheongju. Bus stops for routes to Cheongju, Osong, and Sejong are located across the crosswalk outside Gate 2. Both local and express buses operate here. Fares can be paid by cash (not available on some routes), credit card (international cards not accepted), or transportation card. Routes on Bus No. 404 and 747 take approximately 30 minutes to reach the Seongan-gil area.
Standard, mid-size, and deluxe taxis are available. The taxi stand is located across the crosswalk outside Gate 1 on the 1st floor of the international terminal. Payment can be made by cash, credit card, or transportation card. Travel time is approximately 25 minutes to Seongan-gil and Osong Station (KTX), and 45 minutes to Cheongnamdae Presidential Villa.
City buses provide access to downtown Daegu in about 30 minutes. Bus stops are located across the crosswalk past the parking lot outside Gates 3 and 4 on the 1st floor of the international terminal. Both local and express buses operate here. Fares can be paid by cash (not available on some routes), credit card (international cards not accepted), or transportation card. Routes on Bus No. 101, 401, and Express Bus 1 serve Daegu Station and the Dongseongno area.

Various bus services connect Yangyang International Airport to major cities in Gangwon State. A village bus to Yangyang Intercity Bus Terminal departs from a bus stop across the crosswalk outside Gates 2 and 3 on the 1st floor. On the 2nd floor, outside Gates 2 and 3, you can find a free shuttle bus to Yangyang Terminal and Gangneung Station, as well as intercity buses to Gangneung and Sokcho. Fares can be paid by cash (not available on some routes), credit card (international cards not accepted), or transportation card.
Standard taxis are available to major destinations in Gangwon State. The taxi stand is located outside Gate 4 on the 1st floor. Payment can be made by cash, credit card, or transportation card. Travel time is approximately 10 minutes to Naksansa Temple and Hajodae, 30 minutes to Sokcho, and 45 minutes to Gangneung.
