Suanbo Hot Springs Foot Bath Path (수안보온천 족욕길)
Suanbo Hot Spring is a natural spring said to have flowed for nearly 30,000 years. The 53°C water rises from 250 meters underground and is known for aiding skin health and relieving fatigue. Managed by the city of Chungju, the site offers various footbaths—such as steam, acupressure, and massage options. It is open year-round except mid-December to early February.
Sujupalbong Mountain (수주팔봉)
Shaped over countless years by the flowing river, this site is one of Chungju’s signature natural landscapes. Its name refers to “eight peaks embraced by water,” and from a distance, the peaks appear to float above the river. The mountain itself is not high, but its sharp cliffs and deep-blue water come together to create a scene akin to a traditional Korean painting.
Chungju Tangeumdae Height & Park (충주 탄금대와 탄금대공원)
Tangeumdae Height is a designated scenic site whose name means “the hill where an instrument was played.” The pavilion at the top, Tangeumjeong Pavilion, and the clifftop overlook, Yeoldudae Rock, offer sweeping views of the Namhangang River as it curves through the landscape. The peaceful scene—where calm river water reflects the sky—captures the natural charm of Chungju.
Chungju Tangeumho Rainbow Road (충주 탄금호 무지개길)
This floating lakeside walkway lights up at sunset, casting rainbow colors across the water. The path is about 1.4 kilometers long and takes around 25 minutes to walk one way. It is wide and level, making it easy to enjoy on foot, by bicycle, or with a stroller.
