The forest trail shaded by towering trees and the wide grassy fields surrounding the tombs provide a serene setting to enjoy both history and nature.
Haengjusanseong Fortress (행주산성)
Haengjusanseong Fortress is a historic battlefield from the Imjin War of 1592, offering valuable insight into Korea's military history. English information boards at the entrance and key points help international visitors understand the events that took place here. Walking along the fortress walls, you can take in panoramic views of the Hangang River and the surrounding mountains, combining historical exploration with scenic beauty.
Haengjusanseong Fortress History Park (행주산성 역사공원)
Haengjusanseong Fortress History Park sits right beside Haengjusanseong Fortress, where the historic Battle of Haengju took place during the Imjin War. Its wide grassy field make an ideal spot for a picnic, while Haenghojeong Observatory—once a military post—has been transformed into an attraction offering sweeping views of the Hangang River. Remnants of old barbed-wire fences, a reminder of the area’s past as a military zone, now serve as unique photo spots. The sunset over Banghwadaegyo Bridge is especially stunning.

Located near Haengjudaegyo Bridge, this eel restaurant offers dining with views of the Hangang River. An array of banchan (side dishes) is served with every meal, and the signature Eel Hot Stone Pot Set includes one whole grilled eel, eel soup, and hot stone pot rice.
