About 100 years ago, Incheon Open Port Area, called Gaehangjang in Korean, served as a gateway through which Joseon—the name of Korea at the time—first opened up to the world. This walking tour traces a route through former foreign settlements, early modern buildings, and exhibitions from that era. Well-preserved historical architecture and artifacts provide vivid insight into the early stages of Korea's modernization. With a short and compact route, it's perfect for a relaxed and easy stroll.
