Located in the southern central coast of Gyeongsangnam-do, Tongyeong’s other name is the “Napoli of the East.” With three sides surrounded by sea, Tongyeong has many attractions in connection with the ocean. First, the Tongyeong Cable Car, where you can ride with your pet, gets to the top of the mountain in around 10 minutes and offers an amazing panoramic view of the cobalt sea and the city below. Afterwards, visit the Tongyeong RCE Sejahtera Forest for some peaceful relaxation among nature, then take a yacht ride out in the sea. Tongyeong Cable Car (통영케이블카)
Pet-friendly cable car that takes you just below the Mireuksan Mountain summit at 461 meters above sea level. It takes approximately 10 minutes one way and you can visit the observatory/sky walk by walking up one floor from the Upper Station.

Tongyeong RCE Sejahtera Forest (통영RCE세자트라숲)
An ecological park that you can enjoy with your dog. There is a large grass field in front of the ocean filled with scents that will definitely excite your dog.

Hiking Mireuksan Mountain with your dog
A 15-minute hike from the Upper Station of Tongyeong Cable Car will take you to the summit of Mireuksan Mountain. The mountain was formed approximately 120 million years ago during the Cretaceous period of Mesozoic era, after a volcano eruption. The hiking trail is completed with wooden stairs and decks, so your dog should be able to walk up easily.
