Filming Spots: “Running Man” in Cheongdo
“Running Man (2010~)” is a thrilling variety show loved by Korean and foreign viewers. It is a long-running TV show that has been airing without taking a break since Season 1 first aired in 2010. As the show's name suggests, there are breathtaking missions of running, chasing, and avoiding, so you can find the members running non-stop throughout the show. There are many episodes where the chase takes place in the city or between high-rise buildings, but there are also some episodes where missions are carried out in rural areas or forests with natural environments. One of the most notable episodes set in nature is "Secret Code: Fall Ambush (Hangeul Proclamation Day Special)," filmed in Cheongdo.
Cheongdo is an inland region located in the south of Gyeongsangbuk-do, and is famous for its beautiful nature surrounded by forests and mountains. It is a popular destination for domestic and foreign travelers because the historical houses, walled cities, and temples dating back to the ancient period have been well preserved. It is an excellent place to take a leisurely tour of the Running Man filming locations and enjoy a historical tour.

This cafe is located near Cheongdoeupseong Walled Town and Cheongdo Stone Ice Storage, making it a good place to visit before or after sightseeing. The yellow lighting, antique wooden chairs and tables, and old-fashioned tiles are enough to evoke a retro sensibility that takes you back in time. Their signature coffee is Esupener. While retaining the original flavor of the coffee beans, the combination of roasted grain powder, espresso, and cream makes it even nuttier.
