Eager to experience seasons he can’t find at home, Novi yearns to immerse himself in Korea’s fall and winter. Chilgapsan Ice Fountain Festival: A winter wonderland
Cheongyang’s signature festival, an annual celebration of winter that begins at the end of each year and runs until mid-February, offers an array of seasonal delights. Visitors can enjoy naturally-formed ice sculptures resembling fountains, nighttime ice sculptures illuminated by colorful lights, a sledding slope, a zip trek, a unique tin can-shaped train, and even a smelt fishing experience, among other attractions.
