Look into the past of Seoul by taking a trip through time in Bukchon.
Bukchon, the area of Bukchon Hanok Village, literally means "neighborhood in northern Seoul" and is located between Changdeokgung Palace and Gyeongbokgung Palace. It is said that since the Joseon dynasty, many aristocrats lived in houses with tiled roofs in this neighborhood, giving the village its nickname “Yangbanchon” (aristocrats’ village). This history of Bukchon continues to this day, with some residents preserving hanok buildings and renovating their interiors. Retrace the steps of Seoul's past as you stroll through Bukchon, Samcheongdong Street, and Gyeongbokgung Palace dressed in hanbok (traditional Korean clothes). If you're interested in traditional Korean accessories, Donglim Maedeup Workshop is a great place to explore the beauty of Korea. You can take a look at traditional norigae (ornaments worn by women during the Joseon dynasty, worn on hanbok pockets or skirt hems, made with jewelry or silk thread), pouches, and more.

* ENHYPEN
Just as hyphens connect two words together to create new expressions, ENHYPEN seeks to create new roles. The chemistry and harmony of the seven lucky members are considered to be among the best in K-pop boy bands. Since July 2023, they have successfully conducted their second world tour in various parts of Korea, Japan, and the United States. ENHYPEN members’ choice of destination is Bukchon, Seoul.
“Why did we recommend Bukchon? Because all of our members love that place. We all have different tastes, lifestyles, and habits, but we all have two things in common that we love: walking, and visiting retro-style cafes. It’s really funny, but we get along so well when it comes to these two, so we often head to Bukchon together when there's no schedule, and the weather is nice. Bukchon is where you'll find the most authentic Korean houses, streets, small shops and cafes. A leisurely stroll and a delicious cup of traditional tea at a cafe inside a hanok will bring you back to the Joseon period.”
Cafe Dal
This cafe is renovated from a hanok that sits on a hill. It is quite easy to find because it is located by a large street in Samcheong-dong. The signature menu here is the “Dal Signature Set,” which has pat bingsu (shaved ice with red beans) served in a traditional pot alongside Korean-style waffles. Rest your legs and get your sugar boost with this sweet duo.
