Enjoy Korea’s traditional heritage at the homes of the Pungsan Ryu clan in Hahoe Village.
Andong has long been the center of Korean ethics. The best place to see this culture is through Hahoe Village, home to many historic sites, from a private school for scholars during the Joseon dynasty to pavilions where retired scholars relaxed. The region also abounds in delicious foods, for a complete vacation.

“Andong is a region I like. A few years ago, I was able to visit Andong Hahoe Village due to filming. From that point, I fell in love with the peaceful, quiet ambiance. Since then, Andong has become my go-to place for when I need a break. And you can’t leave out the food. When I visit, I make sure to eat Andong jjimdak and salted mackerel.”
Enjoy a taste of Andong at Mokseokwon
This restaurant offers Andong jjimdak and salted mackerel, two of the foods you must try when visiting Andong. Andong jjimdak is special in that it has a sweet taste from the use of Chinese licorice, while the salted mackerel has a nutty aroma as it cooks over a charcoal fire. You can order either of the dishes by themselves, but we recommend getting the set table to try both dishes.
