BTS and Seoul have a special connection that go way back. Seoul is where BTS was formed and worked their way to become the world-famous boy group they are today, the filming location of BTS’ original content “Run BTS,” and the venue for a majority of their concerts, shows, and promotions. Moreover, BTS made an impression by performing at the front yard of Geunjeongjeon Hall, the place of the king’s coronation in Gyeongbokgung Palace; and took photos at Seokchonhosu Lake for their fans. Gyeongbokgung Palace (경복궁)
The venue used for airing BTS’ performance for the American talk show “The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon” in 2020. BTS, in their contemporary hanbok, performed “Idol” at the front yard of Geunjeongjeon Hall and “Mikrokosmos” at Gyeonghoeru Pavilion in Gyeongbokgung Palace.

Korea House (한국의집)
The place where BTS modeled for a cover of the Billboard magazine in 2018. You can enjoy traditional Korean snacks and Korean cuisine in a hanok and watch cultural performances.

Nodeul Island (노들섬)
The filming location of the “Run” music video in the scenes where the members were seen running full speed along the Hangangdaegyo Bridge. Five years after the release of “Run,” BTS came back here to shoot their 2021 Season’s Greetings.

Songpa Naru Park (Seokchonhosu Lake) (송파나루공원 (석촌호수))
RM once posted online a photo of himself by this lake. The lake is divided into the east lake and the west lake based on Songpa-daero Boulevard, and the background seen in RM’s photo is of the east lake. Located nearby the lake are Lotte World, Lotte World Tower, and Lotte World Mall, all of which are Korea’s landmark attractions.
