Join Yu Su-bin and Tang Jun-sang as they take you to their place of work in Chungju
Chungju is located at the midpoint of the tranquil bends of the Namhangang River. It is a landlocked place that has many unique things to do and see. Head to Hwarokdonggul Cave to see the work of art carved by nature, its beauty heightened with LED light decor, then go to Muhak Market for some snacks and the Korean soul food, a warm bowl of sundae soup. Chungju is famous as the filming location of the drama “Crash Landing on You (2019),” but it is so much more than that. For example, one can find the reed beds of Binaeseom Island (Binae Trail), Chungju Dam’s beautiful road and cherry blossoms in spring, caves, rivers, and more. Get the most out of this charming region with this one-day itinerary.

*Actors Yu Su-bin & Tang Jun-sang
Yu Su-bin and Tang Jun-sang are two scene-stealing supporting actors who have appeared in multiple TV shows.
Above all, the duo is known for their appearance in the drama “Crash Landing on You.” The filming of the show brought them together as friends, especially thanks to a very special filming location that featured in the show: Chungju in Chungcheongbuk-do.
“Both Mr. Tang (Jun-sang) and I (Yu Su-bin) were not very familiar with Chungju. We don’t come from there, nor have we lived there. But thanks to “Crash Landing on You,” we really got to know the place. I especially remember when I visited Binae Trail on Binaeseom Island for the first time. The reeds were as tall as my height, something that really was unusual and special for a city boy like me. We both grew up in the city, so we found it to be really interesting. It's a special place where the drama's characters shared emotional moments, so I’m sure Chungju can also gift you with special memories.”
Cheongpungjip
Sundae, or Korean-style blood sausage, is a beloved traditional dish enjoyed as a snack. It is made by filling pork intestines with mung bean sprouts, dried cabbage, glass noodles, and other ingredients, which are then flavored with soybean paste. Nowadays, many sundae are prepared by filling collagen casing with glass noodles. Different regions have different takes on this dish, and Chungju’s version is served with dried radish leaves. In Cheongpungjip, one can find both the Chungju-style sundae and sundae soup.
