The playground of the young and hip, Seoul Forest Park and Seongsu-dong
Where are some of Seoul’s best-known hangouts? Yeonnam-dong in Hongdae and Myeong-dong near N Seoul Tower come to mind. But these two places aren’t where the young and the hip go to play: Seongsu-dong, near Seoul Forest Park, is where they head instead. In the past, Seongsu-dong was an industrial area home to small factories specializing in consumer goods, most notably in the printing, shoes, and leather businesses. A few years ago, urban renewal programs brought art museums, galleries, select shops, restaurants, and cafes into the old houses in the neighborhood, creating a place where the old and new coexist in a unique, retro-style atmosphere.

* Billlie
One of the leading girl bands of the 4th generation is Billlie, a group known for their mysterious storylines organically integrated into their albums, realized through charming members and chemistry. Their hip and young image goes perfectly with Seongsu-dong, a neighborhood located east of Seoul. Indeed, Seongsu-dong is said to be the hippest of all the hip hangouts in Seoul, a place where Seoul’s young sensibilities come to full bloom. If you want to catch up to the cutting-edge of Korea’s gourmet, art, and cultural scenes, head to Seoul Forest Park and Seongsu-dong. It is a place where you can meet Seoul’s past, present, and future, just like Billlie’s many charms.
“Seongsu-dong is the place to be for the Millennials and Gen Z in Korea! We are also in love with the place. Seongsu-dong is full of small alleys and old houses. Maybe because we spent our youth in residential houses, we can’t help but think back to our childhood whenever we walk down the street. Get some snacks here, and catch up with friends there... When we walk down the street, we feel our stress melting away at how the good old days and the moment today seem to cross paths.”
TONGUE Seongsu Space
TONGUE Seongsu Space is located right in the middle of Seongsu-dong Cafe Street, serving as a place that offers a variety of things to experience and see.
