About Product: We use ATOS, the latest next-generation vision-correction platform developed by Schwind in Germany. The procedure removes a lenticule through a small incision, minimizing corneal damage and lowering the risk of complications. By combining the Sirius diagnostic system with ATOS, we can correct shifts in the astigmatism axis caused by differences in posture between the exam and the surgery—an important advantage for patients with astigmatism. Unlike procedures that require creating a corneal flap, which can damage corneal nerves and lead to dry eye, Smart SMILE does not involve a flap, reducing the likelihood of dry eye and other side effects.
