Product: Coronary Angiography
Organization/Company: Nasaret International Hospital
Duration: 1 hour or less
Area: Incheon
About Product:
Coronary angiography is the most accurate diagnostic method for cardiovascular diseases, and the test is conducted as follows:
[Preparations Prior to Test]
•Inpatients are required to fast for 6 to 8 hours prior to the test. This is to prevent food from entering the airway due to nausea or vomiting during the test.
•Women of childbearing age must confirm their pregnancy status.
•Patients with hypersensitive reactions to contrast media should inform the medical staff in advance.
[During Test]
•The test takes approximately 0.5-1 hour.
•During angiography, patients may feel a flushing sensation, headache, warmth, or chest pain due to the contrast medium.
[After Test]
•The catheter will be removed and pressure will be applied to the puncture site to stop bleeding.
•Inform the medical staff immediately if you experience any symptoms such as dizziness, nausea, vomiting, back pain, or bleeding during hemostasis.
•The required period of absolute bed rest varies depending on the catheter insertion site and the hemostasis method. The absolute rest time may increase due to complications such as bleeding or hematoma.
•Patients are recommended to drink enough water and urinate frequently to eliminate the contrast medium from the body.
•Patients without nausea or vomiting can drink fluids or eat food.
