About Product:
The Alzheimer’s Prevention Center is a clinical facility specializing in anti-amyloid antibody therapy for patients in the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease. Alzheimer’s disease is the most common cause of dementia. It is a neurodegenerative brain disorder characterized by the accumulation of beta-amyloid protein in the brain, leading to gradual brain atrophy and cognitive decline, including memory loss. Anti-amyloid antibody therapy in the early stages of Alzheimer’s can help remove amyloid deposits in the brain and slow disease progression. The earlier the treatment is administered—especially in the mild symptomatic stage—the more effective it is, making precise diagnostic processes crucial for early detection and enhanced outcomes.
According to a survey by the National lnstitute of Dementia, dementia is the disease most feared by elderly Koreans, even more than cancer. It is a devastating illness not only for seniors but also for their caregivers.
The Alzheimer’s Prevention Center at Korea University Guro Hospital aims to alleviate these challenges of patients and their families by providing cutting-edge treatments.
