코로나펜데믹 이전까지 한국을 방문하는 의료관광을 찾는 외국인 관광객은 2009년부터 꾸준히 증가해 왔으며, 2022년에는 248,110명의 외국인환자가 한국을 방문하였습니다. 연평균 외국인 관광객 상승은 11.5%로 지속되고 있으며 총 208개국에서 약 330만 명의 방문객이 방문, 누적 환자 수는 830만 명에 이른답니다.
