Congestion Expected During the APEC Summit Around Gyeongju

In the lead-up to and following the Gyeongju APEC Summit 2025, congestion is expected due to public gatherings in Gyeongju and nearby areas, including Daegu, Busan, and other cities in Gyeongsangbuk-do. The Gyeongbuk Provincial Police Agency has designated major tourist attractions in Gyeongju, including Daereungwon Ancient Tomb Complex, Hwangnidan Street, and Gyeongju Bus Terminal, as special security reinforcement zones to ensure public safety. During the summit period, changes in operating hours of some tourist attractions and temporary traffic controls may occur, and visitors are therefore advised to check for updates before traveling.
Travelers heading to Gyeongju, Busan, and other areas of Gyeongsangbuk-do during the APEC Summit period are encouraged to use public transportation and monitor real-time traffic situations.
