In the case of a threat to life or property, please call emergency services at 112 (police) or 119 (fire department and ambulance). If you don’t speak Korean, when the call connects, say “English please” or “Interpreter please.” The operator will connect you to a professional interpreter. To receive assistance quickly, use the nearby buildings or the GPS function on your smartphone to determine your current location. It is also recommended to install the “Baro Emergency Reporting App,” operated by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety. The app supports multiple languages, including English, Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, and Filipino. The image and text interface of the app make it easy to use for everyone.

In the event of a natural disaster, social accident, or other safety incidents, the “Emergency Ready” app provides action guidelines for each situation. It is available in 14 languages, and connects you to 119 in an emergency. However, it is currently available in offline mode only and does not provide information on the locations of hospitals, fire stations, and other facilities.
