Meaning “the tail of a tiger,” Homigot Cape is located at the eastern end of the Korean Peninsula. At Homigot Sunrise Square, the first rays of dawn kiss the land, marking the beginning of a new day. It is home to the sculpture Hands of Harmony, which juts out from the sea, and one can enjoy the view of the surrounding shoreline and the sea from this point as well. The name “Homigot” comes from Nam Sa-go, a scholar of the feng shui tradition during the reign of King Myeongjong of Joseon in the 16th Century, describing the Korean Peninsula as a tiger and Homigot Cape being the tail.
