  • Foreign patients, along with their family members or caregivers who are accompanying them, intending to enter Korea for medical purposes, are required to obtain a medical visa.

There are two types of medical visas: the short-term visa (C-3-3) for stays of 90 days or less, and the long-term care visa (G-1-10) for stays of up to 1 year.

The visa requirements and the types of required documents may vary depending on the nationalities of patients and the lengths of their stay. Applications can be submitted through the South Korean Embassy or Korean Consulate.
You can apply for the visa by submitting a visa issuance confirmation or applying for an electronic visa (e-visa) through the visa portal.
