K-pop fans adore music videos for their dazzling performances, breathtaking visuals, and eye-catching scenery. These music video locations are often hailed as “pilgrimage sites” by fans and have become must-visit spots on travel itineraries. Let’s explore what makes these places so captivating for both stars and fans alike.
Yongma Land is a small amusement park that opened in 1983. After its closure in 2011, it was abandoned on private property and seemed to be falling into disrepair. However, its unique retro atmosphere has attracted photographers, and it now operates as an outdoor studio for film crews. The music video for TWICE’s signature song, “Like OOH-AHH,” which has over 500 million views on YouTube, was filmed here. On days when the space isn’t rented out, anyone can visit, so you can take photos and videos like a K-pop star and create unforgettable memories.
Everland is South Korea’s largest theme park and a “fantasy land” featuring more than 40 rides and a year-round festival. Internationally, it is also well-known as a filming location for BTS music videos, as the live video for BTS’s “Dynamite” was filmed here during their appearance on “America’s Got Talent” in 2020. One of the main filming locations, Everland Rocksville, is a themed zone inspired by the American West, where visitors can enjoy rides featured in the video, such as Double Rock Spin and Let’s Twist.
Inside Paradise City, a five-star hotel located near Incheon International Airport, lies a spot beloved by K-pop stars: Wonderbox, an indoor theme park designed with the concept of a nighttime amusement park. It offers a variety of rides, unique carnival shows, and specialty foods to enjoy, with interactive elements like music, lights, and videos that create a fantastic atmosphere. Many TV shows and commercials have been filmed here, including the drama “Hotel Del Luna” and the music video for LOONA’s “Not Friends.”
