  • BTS is writing a new history of K-pop with every album they release. The place BTS went to is called a 'BTS travel destination' and has become a holy place for 'ARMY' (BTS fans) around the world to visit. The Wanju area, which announced the beauty of Korean traditional culture to the world while filming the '2019 Summer Package in Korea' music video and pictorial, has established itself as a place comparable to Abbey Road, the holy place of the Beatles.

    Yangju Iryeong Station
    327 Samsang-ri, Jangheung-myeon, Yangju-si, Gyeonggi-do (경기도 양주시 장흥면 장흥면 삼상리 327)

BTS' music video for 'Spring Day', released in February 2017, begins with V waiting for a train on a platform marked 'Iryeong'. The scene of getting off the snow-covered railway and putting his ear to the rail, the rusty signboard, and the faded slate roof leave a long aftertaste as if time has stopped. It opened in the 1960s as a simple station on the suburban line connecting Uijeongbu-si and Neunggok, Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do. After the suburban line was stopped in 2004, only the name was maintained, and operation ended in 2014.

    1271-1 Jungang-ro, Ilsandong-gu, Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do (경기도 고양시 일산동구 중앙로 1271-1)

BTS member RM's hometown is Ilsan, Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do. He also mentioned Ilsan in his childhood when he gave a speech at the United Nations in 2018 under the theme of 'Speak Yourself'. He attended Baekseok Elementary School and Shinil Middle School, and dreamed of becoming a 'rapper' since middle school. At the Goyang Tourist Information Center, there is a RM mural measuring 18m in width and 12m in height. In ‘Ma City’, there are lyrics such as “Lake Park is better than the Hangang River,” “La Festa and Western Dome that felt like home,” and “The Hugok Academy Village that raised me as a child” so it’s good to visit these places together.

    Yangpyeong Seohuri Forest
    200 Geobukbawi 1-gil Seojong-myeon, Yangpyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do (경기도 양평군 서종면 거북바위1길 200)

Opened in 2014, it is an arboretum with an area of about 330,580㎡. After filming the 2019 BTS season greeting calendar pictorial, it is called 'Bangtan Forest'. Easels with photos taken by BTS are placed here and there. The real pleasure of this place is to find a spot in the picture and follow the pose or take pictures in various ways. There are pine groves and secret forests, and there are two walking courses for forest bathing along the waterfall and small pond.

    Yongin Everland Rocksville
    199 Everland-ro Pogok-eup, Cheoin-gu, Yongin-si, Gyeonggi-do (경기도 용인시 처인구 포곡읍 에버랜드로 199)

It is a theme zone in Everland created with the theme of ‘American rock and roll culture in the 1960s’. BTS planned to sing ‘Dynamite’, a song that topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart, live on the American NBC talk show ‘America’s Got Talent’, but it was not possible due to COVID-19, so it was pre-filmed here with a retro concept. The music video recorded 100 million views on YouTube on the day it aired. Rocksville also emerged as a new attraction of Everland after BTS visited. The photo spot is in front of Starlight Restaurant where BTS danced.

    Yongin Dae Jang Geum Park
    25 Yongcheon drama-gil Baegam-myeon, Cheoin-gu, Yongin-si, Gyeonggi-do (경기도 용인시 처인구 백암면 용천로 330)

Dae Jang Geum Park in Yongin, where dramas such as 'The King’s Affection' and 'The Red Sleeve' were filmed, is also famous as a filming location for the music video 'Daechwita' released by BTS Suga under the name of ‘Agust D’. From the Three Kingdoms Period to the Joseon Dynasty period, the streets and houses of each era were reproduced. Not only historical dramas, but also modern dramas, movies, and commercials are actively filmed. It is an open set that can be visited by locals and foreign visitors, and the royal costume experience is also popular.
