Last June, Seoul transformed into the stage for the “2024 Korea Beauty Festival.” This event showcased various aspects of K-beauty, from medical services and wellness treatments to hair, makeup, and fashion trends. The highlight was undoubtedly the “2024 Korea Health & Wellness Festival.” Held from May 31 to June 2 at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul, this grand festival drew the attention of numerous tourists. An estimated 50,000 people attended the event over three days, making it the largest of its kind. The event has wrapped up, but the excitement is still palpable. At the opening ceremony, buyers and influencers from 13 countries attended, including popular Filipino actress and singer Kyline Alcantara (@itskylinealcantara). As an ambassador for the Korea Tourism Organization, Kyline's social media post about her Korean makeup experience and traditional Korean medicine spa visit garnered over 250,000 views in just one day. During the lecture by renowned K-beauty makeup artist Jung Saem Mool, attendees not only learned makeup tips but also had the opportunity to reflect on their own unique beauty.
② Experiencing K-medical services at the Health Zone

Over 50 organizations, including Korean medical centers and medical tour companies, participated in the Health Zone. Various hospitals, such as plastic surgery clinics, traditional Korean medicine hospitals, and ophthalmology centers, showcased Korea's advanced K-medical services. Visitors could experience these services firsthand, with free eye exams offered at ophthalmology clinics and spinal alignment provided at spine centers.
③ Enjoying a picnic in the city at the Wellness Zone

The Wellness Zone offered a wide range of experiences designed to soothe both body and mind. More than 20 wellness tourism companies presented various programs, including picnics in the city, forest path reflexology, and color therapy. The tents for picnics at Gwanghwamun Square were perfect for a relaxing nap while walking over uneven pebbles during the forest path reflexology helped to ease stiff muscles.

“Focus on your breath in body and mind.” On the stage set up in front of the King Sejong Statue, themed yoga programs with yoga masters were held. There were distinct options, such as kids' yoga, dog yoga, and meditation & yoga, giving participants a great deal of choice.

The K-Wave Zone was the most interesting space for K-Wave fans. Visitors could get idol makeovers or use VR devices to explore filming locations of Korean dramas with guidance from their favorite idols.

The personal color booth in the Beauty Zone was busy with people throughout the three days. A big data-based system quickly diagnosed each person's best colors in just three minutes.
