  • Busan’s rich history at Nokcheon Hotel, the final destination of healing trips and trips with friends! Nokcheon Hotel with three-generation-long heritage

When you walk down Footbath Alley with hot steam, in Dongnae-gu, Busan, you will find Nokcheon Hotel. Nokcheon Hotel, which has been managed by three generations, started as Nokcheon Public Bathhouse established in 1962. In the 1970s, it introduced the concept of “family baths” for the first time as a public bath. And in the 1980s, the hotel was established with hot spring at each room. Since hot springs could only be enjoyed at public baths at the time, the hotel was very popular among people who did not feel comfortable sharing a bathtub with others or who wanted to enjoy the hot spring with their family.

Private hot tub in each room

According to Samguk Yusa, Prime Minister Chungwongong bathed in a hot spring in Dongnae-hyeon during the reign of Silla's King Sinmun. Dongnae Hot Springs has long been famous for its water quality. Among the hot springs, legend has it that Nokcheon Public Bathhouse was founded upon the discovery of a warm spring after digging up the spot on which a white deer came and slept. Rich in magnesium and chlorine ions, the slightly salty spring water is especially good for neuralgia and disorders from skin to gastrointestinal and gynecological.
