There are eight international airports in Korea and, among them, visitors from abroad are likely already familiar with Incheon International Airport, which its excellence as a global airport has been well-recognized, and Jeju International Airport, where the beautiful landscape of Jeju Island can be enjoyed. Smaller airports including those in Daegu, Muan, and Yangyang are also seeing an increase in the number of travelers due to the simple boarding procedure and quiet atmosphere.

This is Korea’s representative airport. Nearly all domestic and foreign air carriers flying into Seoul land at Incheon International Airport. Depending on the airline, flights arrive at either Passenger Terminal 1 or 2. When moving between terminals, use the free shuttle bus or pay a small fare to take the Airport Railroad Express.
As a multiple award-winning airport selected by the TTG Travel Awards, Incheon International Airport offers a wide range of convenience facilities for travelers - from restaurants, cafes, duty free shops, bookstores, and other shopping venues to free airport Wi-Fi, countless device charging ports throughout the airport, currency exchange counters, massage shops, shower facilities, a capsule hotel, spa, post office, hospital, pharmacy, and a prayer room for Muslims. The airport also hosts special events such as concerts and traditional Korean cultural performances. At the culture centers and exhibit rooms scattered throughout the airport, you can enjoy traditional Korean cultural experiences, performances, and artworks.
The airport is located in in Seoul and has both international and domestic terminals. It operates a limited number of international flights to a few regions including Japan, China, and Taiwan. If you land at Gimpo International Airport, it is faster to get to the city center of Seoul, and it is also convenient to transfer to flights to other parts of Korea such as Jeju Island and Busan. Free shuttle buses operate from the International Terminal to the Domestic Terminal.
This is the gateway airport to Busan, Korea’s second largest city. It operates international flights to Japan, Southeast Asia, Guam, Mongolia, China, and Hong Kong. It also operates domestic flights to Incheon, Gimpo, and Jeju. You can take either a bus or the subway to downtown Busan and the trip takes approximately 40 minutes to an hour depending on the destination. Free shuttle buses operate from the International Terminal to the Domestic Terminal.
Jeju Island is Korea’s largest island as well as the most famous travel destination in the country. The Seoul-Jeju route is known as one of the busiest routes in the world. For international flights, there are routes to Japan, China, and certain regions in Southeast Asia. The airport is located close to downtown Jeju so it takes approximately 15 minutes by city bus to Jeju Intercity Bus Terminal. It is also convenient to use rental cars.
Rental cars are prohibited to park in Jeju International Airport parking lots. All rental car companies have their own offices near the airport and offer free airport pick-up and drop-off via shuttle bus. Wait at the designated shuttle bus stop of your rental car company and take the shuttle bus provided by the rental car company. Upon returning the rental car, the rental car company will provide a free drop-off service at the airport as well.
This airport is located in Chungcheongbuk-do, the center of Korea. Upon arrival, there is convenient access to the nearby cities of Cheongju and Daejeon as well as other parts of Chungcheong region. There are international flights to countries such as Vietnam, China, Japan, and Mongolia. Domestic flight to Jeju is also available. From Cheongju Airport to the closest KTX station, Osong Station, it takes approximately 50 minutes by city bus and approximately 20 minutes by Mugunghwa Train. Osong Station-bound Mugunghwa trains from Cheongju Airport operate 11 times a day.
Yangyang International Airport is the lone international airport in Gangwon State, the northeastern region of Korea. It offers irregular flights to China and certain cities in Southeast Asia, and located close to Gangneung and Sokcho, two of the most famous tourist cities on the east coast.
This international airport is located in downtown Daegu, Korea’s third largest city. It operates international routes to Mongolia, Guam, and certain regions in the Southeast Asia, as well as domestic flights to Jeju. It is convenient to travel from Daegu International Airport to attractions in Daegu, Gyeongju, and nearby regions in Gyeongsangbuk-do. It takes approximately 20 minutes by city bus to Dongdaegu Station, a KTX train stop.

Muan International Airport is the lone international airport in the Jeolla region, the southwestern part of Korea. It operates international flights to Japan, China, Taiwan, Southeast Asian countries. It also operates domestic flights to Jeju, Gimpo, and Ulsan. It takes around 40 minutes by city bus to Muan Bus Terminal, the closest terminal from the airport.
