In Korea, there is a special place for tourists who love K-content: Handprint Street, where you can find the handprints of K-pop stars. From dramas and movies to K-pop, this spot showcases the handprints of stars from various fields, allowing you to take photos, enjoy unique attractions, and create special memories.
The K-pop Star Street is a cultural street in Gwangju, created in the alley where local stars practiced dancing and singing during their early days. The street features various K-pop-themed attractions, including a fan zone displaying K-pop videos and fan clips, murals of K-pop album covers, and benches engraved with K-pop song titles, all welcoming fans. The bench with the face of BTS’s j-hope is particularly famous as the spot where he actually visited and took a photo. The biggest attraction is the wall filled with the handprints of stars. From OH MY GIRL and VIVIZ to Chung Ha and MONSTA X, this place is filled with traces left by countless stars, giving fans the opportunity to create special memories by taking photos with their hands placed on top of the handprints.
Busan, the “City of Movies,” where the Busan International Film Festival is held every year, has a special street for movie fans: Busan Cine Road, located around the Marine City breakwater. Along the Mediterranean-style walls, you'll find movie-themed attractions, from Korean film posters to a Spider-Man sculpture. Santorini Square, which displays the handprints of top Korean actors like Hwang Jung-Min, Lee Byung-hun, and Kim Hye-soo, is a space that fans will love. You can enjoy a leisurely stroll while taking in the refreshing sea view beyond the wall, along with iconic Busan landmarks such as Dongbaekseom Island, The Bay 101, and Gwangandaegyo Bridge all in one view.
The MBC New Headquarters Media Center is a terrestrial broadcasting station located in Sangam-dong, home to Korea’s major broadcasters. For fans of K-content, it’s a familiar spot, serving as the venue for variety show openings and small fan meets with K-pop stars. In the cultural plaza in front of the building, there are attractions like the “Mirror Man” sculpture featured in the movie “Avengers: Age of Ultron” and the Star Road with handprints from K-pop stars such as Bae Suzy, Lee Joon-gi, and TVXQ. There’s also a food alley nearby where you can check out the favorite eateries of these stars and taste a variety of Korean dishes.
