Sup Ae Seo: a Healing Spot Where Every Detail Delivers
In the name Supaeseo, “ae” means the Chinese character 愛, which means love, and “seo” refers to the Chinese character 徐, which means slow. So please be careful when you pronounce the word. If you pronounce it carelessly, the deep meaning of the forest may fade. Supaeseo means moving slowly toward love and healthy life against the backdrop of Daeunsan Mountain, where the great monk Wonhyo of the Silla dynasty once lived during his quest for enlightenment. This place, which conveys its meaning with the small variation of vowels, boasts delicate details in every corner, just like its name. A single difference may seem insignificant, but each adds beauty and class to the place. Here, you can experience healing of distinguished details and class.

Meditate with Clouds, Heal Yourself with Water
In keeping with its main concept of “healing,” Supaeseo provides various programs. Cloud Meditation and Singing Bowl Therapy are particularly popular forest healing programs on the forest healing trail. In Cloud Meditation, you get to feel the fresh forest air up close while lying on a large hammock after a 20 minute walk along the recreational forest. The program has been highly praised by many visitors. Indoor health healing programs include yoga with props and a tea ceremony program featuring flower tea made locally. All programs are guaranteed to provide memorable experiences, as they are handled by instructors with official certificates and professional experiences, such as forest healing instructors and life sports instructors. If it is your first visit, you definitely want to experience the 2-day stay program. You can also take part in the healing device program during your stay. You can learn about the conditions of your body by analyzing the level of physical and mental stress and body composition, and enjoy a refreshing massage with aqua therapy afterwards.
Aqua therapy is, quite literally, a therapy performed with water. Supaeseo is credited with having the largest number of aqua-therapy machines in Korea. Take a break lying on your back or face down and listening to classical music. The water flowing from the machine will gently loosen the tightened muscles and relax you comfortably.
Empty and Fill Your Mind at the Healing Facility
Supaeseo offers carefully constructed healing facilities open to any visitors. They include a heat therapy room and an aqua therapy room or, to use more familiar terms, a sauna and a bath. Here, you can enjoy hot and cold baths and saunas, respectively. The heat therapy room has a dry half-bath machine, where you can sit for 30 minutes to warm your body and enjoy the sand. Moreover, there is cardio exercise equipment in the exercise therapy room and massage chairs in the body healing room, where you can even listen to some LPs. The act of choosing an LP itself helps to empty your mind and drive out impatience.
The rooftop healing garden is one of the most beautiful spaces in the forest, where you are highly recommended to look around. Round orb-shaped lights shine like beads between the paths winding through the grass. And a pavilion waits for you at the end of the garden. It looks like an ordinary pavilion from a distance. However, when you go inside, you can hear the beautiful melodies of various scales resonating whenever the wind blows. Take time to look at the scenery of Daeunsan Mountain, feel the wind blowing from the green forest, and enjoy the music composed by nature. Take a deep breath, and feel your body react with pleasant vibration.
Hearty Meals and Wonderful Guestrooms
Supaeseo is well-known for its delicious foods, which are as good as its programs and facilities. Nutritionally balanced therapeutic meals are provided as a buffet. The quality doesn’t even compared to other ordinary resorts. The place offers another advantage which is the variety of menus, ranging from steamed multigrain rice, white rice, cereal, bread, to various juice. It is easy to skip meals during your busy daily routines. Here, you can find happiness just by enjoying a rich meal each day. After the meal, you can move to the guestroom for the night. On the way to the guestroom, the fragrant smell of Daeunsan Mountain's forest overwhelms your senses. The accommodation facility consists of three buildings: Bium, Chaeum, and Meomum. The buildings have single rooms, double rooms, and quadruple rooms. Single rooms are perfect for visitors who come alone for healing. Hotel bedding and ondol systems installed in all rooms help you get a good night's sleep. All rooms have a veranda, so we suggest, after a good night’s sleep, enjoy the view of Tapgol Reservoir in the distance and stretch your body for the day.
