    A Tour of Suseongmot Lake is More Enjoyable than you Might Expect

    'Suseong Tour Bus,' Now More Accessible and Convenient than Ever




    With Suseong-gu designated as a smart tourism city, it’s now twice as easy to visit Suseongmot Lake and Deulangil Food Town. The Suseong Tour Bus is your perfect companion for exploring Suseong-gu. Departing from Suseongmot Station, the bus passes through Suseongmot Lake and connects directly to Deulangil. The fare is only 500 won, and with a single payment, you can hop on and off as many times as you like throughout the day. 

     

    The bus operates seven times daily, with stops at popular locations such as the Suseongmot Tourist Information Center, Suseongmot Lake, and Deulangil Food Town. Sit back in a comfortable chair, enjoy the refreshing breeze, and take in the beautiful sky on your way to Deulangil Food Town, home to some of the city’s best hidden-gem restaurants. 



    The Tour of Suseongmot Lake Begins at 'MOTII'


     

    The Suseongmot Lake Tourist Information Center is truly unique. Known as 'MOTII,' a Gyeongsang-do dialect term for 'corner,' the center’s standout feature is its spectacular 3D media art. Visitors can enjoy captivating displays, including the adorable otter—Daegu’s mascot and a designated Natural Monument—as well as highlights of the city’s tourist attractions and iconic buildings. Inside, the center offers information about Suseongmot Lake and Daegu, along with a selection of Daegu-related products. 

     




    Deulangil Food Town: A Feast for Your Taste Buds




    Deulangil Food Town, located near Suseongmot Lake, is Daegu’s ultimate food destination. As the saying goes, if you follow the road behind Suseongmot Lake from the three-way intersection, you’re sure to find whatever food you’re craving. The area is home to numerous renowned restaurants specializing in single dishes, including noodles, bossam (boiled pork with cabbage wraps), eel, and swellfish. 

     

     

     

    One standout dish is bogeobulgogi, or stir-fried puffer fish, a true Daegu specialty and one of the city’s top ten delicacies. This dish features puffer fish, bean sprouts, and glass noodles sizzling on a hot plate with a spicy red sauce, often enjoyed wrapped in a fresh leaf. Pair it with a bowl of cooling soup, and be sure to finish with fried rice cooked on the same hot plate for a perfect ending to your meal.

     

    The Music Fountain and Night Views of Suseongmot Lake


     

    Suseongmot Lake is an excellent spot to enjoy the sunset. As the sun dips below the horizon, the sky glows orange, and the city lights reflect beautifully on the lake.

    The Suseongmot Lake’s music fountain spans 90 meters in length, 12 meters in width, and shoots water up to 70 meters high.




     

     

    Suseongmot Lake is also a lively hub for busking. As night falls, street performances kick off, featuring impressive street dancers and hidden talents. The meeting of day and night creates the perfect atmosphere for a memorable evening.
