  Introduction
  
  DIRAMS Korea Cancer Center Hospital(KCCH) researches the medical use of radiation, and provides specialized cancer treatment, medical/radiation emergency care for residents of Korea’s southeast region. To fulfill these missions, we run a research center as well as a hospital. The research center focuses on practical use of radiation medicine by strengthening technology-leading translational research in radiation therapy, while the hospital caters to the needs and demands of the local community, including specialized cancer treatment, screening, and the care of international patients.
  Building on more than 50 years of history and achievements in the field of radiation medicine in Korea, the DIRAMS KCCH is committed to diagnosing cancer and developing new treatment techniques. As a result, we have become one of the top cancer centers and radiation medicine research centers in Korea. We will advance further and become a world-class research and medical institution with systematic collaboration between doctors and researchers.

  March 2019: Received the top rating in the Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease Adequacy Evaluation July 2019: Received the top rating in the Cancer Adequacy Evaluation (colon, breast, lung, and stomach cancer) November 2019: Won four Busan Mayor Citations February 2020: Obtained a KOLAS laboratory accreditation April 2020: Won a Busan Mayor Citation January 2021: Obtained a General hospital Accreditation (2019-2022) May 2021: Received the top rating in Quality Assurance in the stomach and breast cancer treatment June 2021: Won a Minister of Health and Welfare Citation December 2021: Won a Busan Metropolitan Government Citation for contribution to international cooperation April 2022: Won a Ministry of Health and Welfare Citation for contribution to COVID-19 control August 2022: Ranked 1st among Busan general hospitals in the Patient Experience Index January 2023: Ranked 1st in Busan in the Emergency Medical Institution Evaluation November 2023: Received the top rating in Quality Assurance in tuberculosis treatment December 2023: Opened the Radiomedical Commercialization Center
