    세종낙화축제는 우리 시 무형유산인 ‘세종 불교 낙화법(2024.2.13. 지정)’을 바탕으로 전통문화를 현대적으로 재해석한 축제로,
    도심 속 호수공원의 자연과 도시경관이 어우러지는 특별한 야간 관광 축제이다. 낙화봉을 나뭇가지나 장대, 줄에 매달아 불을 붙이면 타닥타닥 타는 소리와 함께 불씨가 꽃잎처럼 흩날리며 밤의 숲을 아름답게 물들인다. 낙화는 불교 연등회와 정월대보름, 단오, 칠월 보름 등에서 부정한 기운을 몰아내고 복을 기원하기 위해 행해지던 우리 고유의 전통 의식에서 유래했다. 소나무에 매달린 낙화봉의 불씨가 흩날리는 장면을 멈춘 자리에서 ‘불멍’으로 즐기거나, 공원의 산책로를 따라 걸으며 감상하는 등 다채롭게 즐길 수 있다.
