Sokcho is a port with a great geographical advantage as it is located in the center of the Pan-East Sea Economic Belt, connecting Korea, China, Japan, and Russia.
The Sokcho Port International Cruise Terminal opened in 2017 and has the facilities and scale to accommodate two large cruise ships at a time. During the 2018 Pyeongchang Olympics, many tourists came through Sokcho Port, increasing its value as a port of call.
Sokcho has easy access to Seoraksan Mountain, hot springs, Naksansa Temple,
Yangyang Surfyy Beach, Unification Observatory, and other popular tourist destinations in Gangwon-do Province. Experience the history and traditional culture of the Gangwon
