Incheon

  • Incheon, a port city
    open to the world

Incheon Port serves as the gateway to Seoul and the Seoul Metropolitan Area, poised to ascend as a global hub port. Being the closest port to Seoul, the capital of Korea, Incheon is a favored port of all for those who wish to visit Seoul and the Greater Seoul Metropolitan Area. Yet, Incheon itself is full of tourist sites worthy of one’s attention, from its Chinatown, which demonstrates Incheon’s international character, to Songdo, a planned city with skyscrapers; Wolmido Island, a haven of food and amusement; and Ganghwado Island, home to Joseon-era historic sites and a unique atmosphere created by its proximity to the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ). Incheon is a port of call like a rainbow, full of different hues from its long history, rich cuisine, lively people, and the beautiful view of the sea.

Incheon, a city with a long history
    of global exchange

Incheon is the gateway to the Greater Seoul Metropolitan Area, home to 50% of Korea’s
population, and the first port on the way to Seoul, Korea’s capital. It is one of the best
known ports in Korea and a great Northeast Asian cruise hub in the making.
Opened in 2019, Incheon International Cruise Terminal is one of the largest cruise
terminals in Korea, capable of berthing large cruise ships up to 225,000 tons in tonnage
and a two-story terminal with a total floor area of 7,364 m2. Its parking facilities can
accommodate up to 200 vehicles, including 156 large buses, so the terminal can offer
convenience and quick access to even the largest cruise ships.
Incheon International Cruise Terminal operates both fixed and mobile gangways for the
safe movement of passengers regardless of tidal range, water depth, and vessel size.
