Terms and Conditions

1. To participate in the Matta Fair KL 2023 (the “Event”), Customers (the “Customers”) must be residing in Malaysia during the event period.

2. Korea Tourism Organization Malaysia (the “Organiser”) reserves the right to disqualify any Customers without notice at any point of the Event or after should he/she be found to have not fulfilled the prerequisites of the Event Campaign prior to participation.

Joining the Event

3. The Event will run from 17th March 2023 to 19th March 2023.

4. The Organiser reserves the right to amend the Event period at any time without prior notice.

Gift Redemption
5. Gift redemption is valid for Korea tour packages purchased at MATTA Fair KL 17th March 2023 to 19th March 2023 at Malaysia International Trade & Exhibition Centre (MITEC) only.

6. One pax is entitled to one gift only.

7. Gift Redemption of Canvas Tote Bag with Pouch Set is on a first-come, first-served basis and while stocks last.

8. The Korea Tour Packages must consist of full itinerary packages to Korea and individual experiences such as Korea Experience Tour in Malaysia will not be eligible for redemption.

9. Customers who purchase Korea tour package inclusive of Gangwon with minimum 2 nights stay are entitled for additional gift of One (1) Gangwon Merchandise.Only One (1) gift per redemption.

10. Customers who purchase Korea tour package inclusive of Jeju with minimum 2 nights stay are entitled for additional gift of One (1) Jeju Canvas Pouch.

11. Redemption items are on a first-come-first-served basis and while stocks last.

12. Employees of travel agencies and incentive groups are not entitled and not allowed to gift redemption. Only customers who made bookings at the travel fair with the original booking form and receipt will be allowed for redemption. Bookings through phone calls and online are not entitled to gifts.

13. Customers have to be present at the booth to redeem the gifts and employees/staff of travel agencies are not allowed to redeem on their behalf. Gifts are to be redeemed at Korea Tourism Organization Malaysia Redemption booth at the on-ground Matta Fair only.

14. The Organiser reserves the right to reject any redemptions without explanation should there be no proper proof of purchase or identification.

15. The Organiser does not tolerate dishonesty and violence at the redemption counter and will not hesitate to reject all redemptions after should there be any.

Online Contest
16. The Contest (the “Contest”) will run from 17th March to 19th March 2023 (3 Days).

17. The Organiser reserves the right to amend the contest period at any time without prior notice.

18. Korea Tourism Organization Malaysia (the “Organiser”) reserves the right to disqualify any Participants without notice at any point of the Contest or after should he/she be found to have not fulfilled the prerequisites of the Contest prior to participation.

19. To participate in the Contest, participants (the “Participants”) must be residing in Malaysia during the contest period.

20. For contest entry, participants will need to use the hashtags #Annyeongkawan #KTO_Malaysia #VisitKoreaYear2023 #RideTheKoreanWave, tag our Instagram account (@KTO_Malaysia)

21. Each participant may submit multiple entries. However, each participant is only entitled to win one prize.

22. The Organiser reserves the right to disqualify, at its sole and absolute discretion, the eligibility of any participant and/or revoke or forfeit any prizes at any stage of the Contest if:
- entries submitted are incomplete or fail to fulfill any of the Terms and Conditions stipulated herein
- there is a violation of any applicable laws or regulations.
- for any reason whatsoever the Organiser has reason to believe that a participant has attempted to undermine the operation of the Contest in any way whatsoever, including but not limited to fraud, cheating or deception.

23. The contest will end on 19th March 2023, 9.00 pm, and the winners will be chosen randomly by the KTO Team. Winners will be announced on Instagram on 24th March 2023, 11 am, and will be contacted via Instagram Direct Message.

24. The first 100 participants (the “Participants”) that fulfills the contest criterias will receive a souvenir (the “Souvenir”):- Kingdom Friends Mask. This is on a first-come, first-served basis. Participants will need to show the postings to our designated event crew.  

25. A total of five (5) winners (the "Winners") will be selected to win prizes (the "Prizes"): Luggage Cover+KTO Travel Set+Herb Wellness

26. In order to respond to the participants’ entries or fulfill the contest mechanics, it may be necessary to ask for personal information such as the Participant’s name, contact number, email address, and mailing address.

27. In the event that the Organiser is unable to contact a winner within 3 working days from the date of the Instagram Direct Message, the Organiser reserves the right to select another winner based on the judging criteria.

28. The Organiser’s decision on matters relating to the Contest (including, but not limited to the selection of the Winners) shall be final and absolute. No discussion, correspondence, enquiry, appeal or challenge by any of the participants in respect of any decision of the Organiser shall be entertained.

39. The Winners can pick up prizes at Korea Plaza, Ground Floor, Menara Hap Seng, Jalan P. Ramlee, 50250 Kuala Lumpur from 27 March - 31 March 2023, 10 am - 5 pm on weekdays.

30. Prizes are strictly non-negotiable, non-transferable, non-exchangeable and non-refundable. No cash alternative is available.
