Located near Seoul in Gapyeong, Gyeonggi-do, Nami Island is stunning year-round. However, it’s particularly breathtaking in fall when the island is draped in vibrant red and golden ginkgo leaves. The island’s unique atmosphere is enhanced by art installations scattered throughout, and a wide range of activities makes it a popular destination throughout the year. Let’s dive right into the charms of this island.
1) From Seoul to Nami Island Ferry Dock

1) Fall Scenery
From the moment you set foot on Nami Island, the vibrant fall colors will immediately captivate you. The iconic Metasequoia Lane, made famous by the classic K-Drama “Winter Sonata (2002),” continues to draw fans. Walking down this leaf-covered pathway feels like stepping onto a golden carpet of autumn.
Strolling along the riverside offers picturesque scenes reminiscent of watercolor paintings, with the gentle waves of the Bukhangang River and swaying reeds. The island also boasts 27 thematic gardens, which become even more enchanting in fall.
