In Korea, there are four terminals each located in Incheon, Pyeongtaek, Busan, and Donghae for international passengers and ferries. Through these four terminals, ferries that depart from China, Japan, and Russia can enter the country. Depending on the point of departure, the arriving terminal varies so you need to check your route in advance. Every terminal is equipped with basic facilities such as currency exchange counters and tourist information centers.
(* Due to COVID-19, operations of certain passenger ferries and cruises were temporarily suspended so make sure to check the schedule in advance.)
Incheon International Ferry Terminal
Passenger ferries and cargo ships from 10 regions in China arrive at Incheon Port. International cruise ships can also enter the port. From the Incheon International Ferry Terminal, there is public transportation that travels to downtown Seoul, Incheon International Airport, Gimpo International Airport, and other major areas in Gyeonggi-do within one to two hours.
Busan Port International Passenger Terminal
This port is located in the famous port city of Busan, Korea’s second largest city. Busan Port routinely greets passenger ships from Osaka, Fukuoka, Shimonoseki, and Tsushima Island. It is convenient to go from Busan Port International Passenger Terminal to Daegu, Gyeongju, and other nearby regions of Gyeongsang-do.

Busan Central Bus Terminal is located at Nopo Station (Busan Subway Line 1) approximately one hour away by public transportation.
The sea route operated by Busan Port with the greatest number of passengers is the Busan-Osaka route. Ships departing from Osaka in the afternoon arrive in Busan in the morning on the following day when you can begin your journey in Korea. Ships have a variety of commercial facilities such as a cafe, restaurant, sauna, convenience store, karaoke, and therapy house. However, the routes to Tsushima Island and Shimonoseki have stopped transporting passengers due to COVID-19. The Busan-Fukuoka route reopen for operation starting November 4, 2022 by JR Kyushu Jet Ferry.
