Easily passing through quarantine inspection is the first step to enjoying a trip to Korea. All travelers to Korea who have recently visited a quarantine inspection required area must submit a health declaration form or apply for a Q-CODE, the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency’s (KDCA) electronic advanced input system. While both methods are accepted, the Q-CODE provides the benefit of a speedier inspection process.

The Q-CODE can be applied for online through the official website. Applicants just have to input their personal information according to their passport, arrival information, and their current health conditions. As of June 21, 2024, the Q-CODE system has been updated to allow groups of two to twenty people traveling together to apply for the Q-CODE via one representative.

Q-CODE can be applied for starting from three days before travel and up until boarding the aircraft. If there are any negative changes in one’s health condition, including fever, coughing, rash, or diarrhea, the traveler must inform the quarantine inspection officer or contact the KDCA Call Center (1339).
