The customs policy which required all inbound travelers to fill in a declaration form was abolished effective May 1, 2023. Travelers with nothing to declare can now enjoy a hassle-free entry procedure by simply walking through the “Nothing to Declare” passage. Travelers who carry items that exceed the duty-free limit, foreign currency that exceed the value of US$10,000, or other items that require customs declaration must still fill out a declaration form and walk through the “Goods to Declare” passage.

In addition, effective this July, travelers will be able to declare and pay for customs and tax duties using a QR code through the “Korea Customs Declaration for Travelers” mobile app.
