Former Seoul Station served as the center of traffic and interaction in the modern history of Korea, and it was restored and opened as Culture Station Seoul 284 in 2011. The name Culture Station Seoul 284 conveys the notion of the historic site where the number 284 was assigned the old Seoul Station building. Preserving the characteristics of the historic site, a variety of experimental programs including fashion exhibitions and alternative markets are held. Adjacent to the station, Seoullo 7017, which transformed the Seoul Station overpass into a park, passes by. When walking through the overpass, Culture Station Seoul 284 architecture can be seen in a single view.
