Jeju International Airport

Jeju International Airport serves as the main gateway to the island, and is second in passenger flow and flight traffic only to Incheon International Airport. The flight route between Jeju and Gimpo is one of the most active in the world, with many flights departing every hour. From the airport, tourists can get around the island by rental car or public bus. Rental cars are picked up and returned outside the airport, although most rental car companies provide a shuttle bus.

Sea walking

If you’re looking for a new way to explore the sea, then give sea walking a shot! Compared with traditional underwater exploration methods, sea walking requires less preparation time and special equipment. There is no need for a heavy oxygen tank or learning to use a snorkel; simply put on the underwater helmet and you’re ready to walk on the sea bottom. You can even feed fish depending on the season. Now that’s something not everyone can say they have done!

Parasailing

Parasailing can be classified as both a water sport and an air sport. Riders attach a special parasail, designed similar to a parachute, and are then pulled through the air by a boat. The unobstructed views of the sea and the strong breeze are just what the doctor ordered! For safety, all riders must wear a life jacket, and loose items such as cell phones, sunglasses, and hats must be stored separately beforehand.

Yacht tour

If you’ve always wanted to try out the lifestyle of the rich and famous, be sure to try a yacht tour! This “summerhouse on the sea” operates year round, so you can enjoy a day of luxury any time. The yacht tour includes a formal dinner, as well as taking in the beautiful sights of Daepo Columnar Joint, Beomseom Island, Hyeongjeseom Island, Gapado Island, and Marado Island. You can also enjoy sea fishing and fresh hoe (raw fish).

Jetboat

For a roller coaster-like ride on the water, you have to ride a jetboat! Unlike other boats that just go in a generally straight line, jetboats take riders on twists and turns at a high speed, even completing a 360-degree circle on the water! It’s a great way to cool down while making your heart race. Just be sure to keep your eyes open so you can see Daepo Columnar Joint, Jungmun Saekdal Beach, and Hallasan Mountain before they whiz past.

Big ball & Zorb

Jeju is the only place in Korea where you can enjoy the thrilling new sport of big ball and zorbing! Both use a huge inflatable ball to go down a hill, but that’s where the similarities end. In the big ball ride, the ball is partially filled with water, making it feel like a water slide. In zorbing, you will become one with the ball, strapped to the inside and rolled down a 170 meter-long hill; try not to get too dizzy! You can rent a waterproof camera for free to take a fun video on the big ball ride.

Rail bike

If you’ve already experienced riding on a rail bike, you’ll know just what to expect on the Jeju Rail Bike: beautiful views of the scenery! You’ll see natural monuments like Yongnunioreum and Darangswioreum Parasitic Cones, and Seongsan Ilchulbong Tuff Cone. The course also passes a field where a herd of over 100 cows can often be seen munching on the grass. The start and the end points of the course are downhill slopes, making it exciting throughout the ride!
