VISITKOREA, the official travel information guide by the Korea Tourism Organization, is transforming into a comprehensive Korea travel platform effective July 5, 2023. With this transformation, VISITKOREA aims to broaden its services to include integrated marketing by assisting tourists in finding exciting tours and experiences offered by local tourist agencies and businesses.     

The new VISITKOREA features an extensive range of content that reflects the latest travel trends as well as a wide range of new services by implementing advanced technology.     

One of the major additions to the new VISITKOREA is the Suggested Itineraries, a collection of travel courses recommended by celebrities like actor Lee Do-hyun from the popular Netflix series “The Glory (2022)” and highly respected regional figures like the Korea coffee master Park I-choo. Currently, approximately 150 suggested itineraries are available with more to come.     

Another new feature is the Travel Planner. By simply inputting the user’s travel period, interests, and region, the Travel Planner creates a recommended itinerary that comprises attractions, accommodations, restaurants, tours and activities.     

To celebrate the occasion, VISITKOREA is launching a series of month-long relay events starting from July 5 for VISITKOREA members who are visiting Korea. Visitors can anticipate a variety of prizes, including tour and experience packages, performance and festival passes, accommodation vouchers, and more. Affiliated events are also prepared, sponsored by famous brands and services such as The Hyundai, SK Telecom, and GS25. Visitors who book activities and tours through the Tours & Travel Packages page can also participate in a special reward event.
