  Introduction
  Samcheok Culture & Art Center is a cultural complex located in Seongnam-dong, Samcheok-si, Gangwon-do. The center opened its doors to the public on June 4th, 1994 with facilities such as grand/small theaters, outdoor performance stages, exhibition halls and more.

  Main Facilities
  

  1) Grand theater
  The center's main facility is the grand theater, which has a 940-seat capacity and a revolving stage and orchestra pit. The stage accommodates as many as 200 performers, and is equipped with high-tech computerized stage settings including its sound and lighting systems.
  
  2) Small theater
  The theater has 248 seats on the first floor and the stage is big enough to accommodate over 30 performers. The theater is a great venue for a wide range of performances including concerts, dance performances and plays. The theater is equipped with a high-tech lighting and sound system that is comparable to those found in any grand theater. The small theater offers a perfect stage for any type of artistic performance or event.
  
  3) Outdoor theater
  The outdoor theater is around 1,279 ㎡ in terms of total gross area, and can accommodate as many as 1,598 audience members. With Osibcheon Stream flowing gently on one side and Jukseoru Pavilion, Treasure No. 213, located in front of the theatre, the theater's location is scenic and ideal. A wide variety of concerts and performances are held during the summer, and the place is also a popular venue for traditional weddings and events and programs for teens.
  
  4) Exhibition hall
  The exhibition hall has three floors and spans a total of 981 ㎡. The hall is a popular venue for diverse exhibitions and promotional events. The hall has three separate exhibition chambers on the first and second floors, allowing visitors to enjoy three different exhibitions at the same time. The hall is spacious enough to display a total of around 150 to 200 works of art. The venue can house a range of art, including paintings, sculptures, calligraphy, photography, Asian ink drawings, art crafts and ornamental rock displays. The hall is open year-round.
