Symbol Concept

The "Korea, Sparkling" symbol simultaneously incorporates into its design: the Korean consonant ㄱ (g,k) in the shape of a sleeve of Korea's traditional dress, the hanbok; the pinwheel-shaped pahyeongdonggi pattern found on Korea's traditional shields; and two hands forming a square window. The softly curved outer lines reflect the smooth and elegant form of hanbok, and the entire symbol serves as a window to the "inner sparkle" in us and to the sparkling attractions of Korea.

Color Concept

The symbol's colors are based on the colors found in Korea's national flag and those of royal court attire from the Joseon Dynasty. Combining a unique shading technique to give the image a three-dimensional feeling of satin waving in the wind, makes the symbol appear more dynamic. Moreover, the combination of cold and warm colors symbolizes not only the yin and yang in Asian philosophy, but it also embodies the "sparkling" essence of Korean food , which is flavored by a fusion of seasonings.

Logotype Concept

The logotype seeks to create a balanced feeling while at the same time expressing a calm yet dynamic beauty. The arrangement of the logotype for "Sparkling" appears both free and refined.
