| Yeongwol’s Donggang River (river length: 60km) in Gangwon-do is often compared to China’s Gyerim River, with its own picturesque scenery, and is generally recognized as one of the best rafting courses for beginners and family rafting in Korea. The best Donggang River rafting course, Arayeon Valley, has many fish such as the hwang-ssogari (considered a natural treasure), and a lot of animals such as otters, flying squirrels, and owls.
