CNBLUE is a Korean boy band whose members first perfected their musical talents through club and street performances in Japan before making their grand debut in Korea. During their first performance in Korea in 2009, CNBLUE sang a combination of cheerful modern rock songs and mournful rock ballads, gaining recognition for their singing skills and stage presence. In 2011, CNBLUE came in at number two on the Oricon Singles Chart for their song ‘Re-maintenance,’ released in Japan. In Taiwan, their first official full-length album, ‘First Step,’ topped the G-Music Chart.
CNBLUE stands for ‘CODE NAME BLUE’ and is comprised of four members: Jung Yong-hwa, Lee Jong-hyun, Kang Min-hyuk and Lee Jung-shin. With the debut of their mini album ‘Bluetory’ (Blue Story) in January 2010, the group gained immediate recognition and the album topped the charts both online and offline in just five days after its release. Ever since, the band has continued to gain fans all across Asia. CNBLUE’s hit songs include ‘I’m a Loner,’ ‘Love,’ and ‘Intuition.’
