Seoul Transport and Travel Advisory: Large Gatherings Expected in Downtown Seoul

The Seoul Metropolitan Government has announced transport control measures and strengthened safety protocols in anticipation of large gatherings around Gwanghwamun Intersection, Constitutional Court of Korea, Yeouido, and other major areas in downtown Seoul. Travelers visiting these areas are advised to exercise caution and plan accordingly. Subways and buses passing through Gwanghwamun, Yeouido, and Hannam-dong may bypass certain stops without stopping or taking temporary detours. Additionally, Anguk Station (Subway Line 3) will be temporarily closed on April 4, while City Hall Station (Subway Line 1, 2), Gyeongbokgung Station (Subway Line 3), and Gwanghwamun Station (Subway Line 5) may adjust operations depending on the situation. Additionally, tourist attractions in the affected areas may change their operating hours or close temporarily, including Unhyeongung Royal Residence, which will be closed on April 4. Travelers are advised to check the official websites before scheduling their trip. For safety reasons, visitors are encouraged to stay updated on the situation before visiting the affected areas.
