Jeonju Hanok Village is filled with many traditional Korean houses, or hanoks, offering a nostalgic atmosphere as if stepping back in time. In addition to various tourist attractions like Gyeonggijeon Shrine, Jeondong Cathedral, Omokdae and Imokdae Historic Sites, and Jeonjuhyanggyo Local Confucian School, there are shops where you can purchase handmade Korean crafts and unique souvenirs created by artisans. Enhance your trip by renting a hanbok and exploring the village, and experience the diverse flavors of Korea at various food shops. Using the lockers can make your tour much more comfortable. You need to insert two 500 won coins to use a locker, and you can exchange bills for coins at the tourist information center across from Omokdae. Once you’ve lightened your load, consider renting a hanbok from a hanbok shop and taking a commemorative photo with Jeonju Stream as the backdrop at Cheongyeonru Pavilion. Also check out Jeonbuk’s 100 Tourist Souvenirs, a prominent souvenir shop in Jeonju. They display and sell a variety of crafts including pottery, woodwork, and metalwork. If you’re interested in vintage and natural clothes/accessories besides hanbok, consider visiting Haruilgi Jeonju Hanok Village Branch.
