President Moon Jae-in is attending the G7 Summit in Cornwall this weekend (11-13 June). The South Korean President was invited by UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson to join the Group of Seven and other world leaders in discussing the global response to challenges including coronavirus and climate change.
In honour of the President’s visit by invitation, the Korea Tourism Organisation London office has launched a new outdoor advertising campaign, showcasing its Feel the Rhythm of Korea viral video series across London’s iconic double decker buses and the London Underground.
The campaign includes a social media giveaway, Next Stop Korea!, which will run until the end of June, encouraging followers to send in their photos of the colourful advertisements and win big prizes, such as a Samsung Galaxy mobile or Polaroid camera.
And that’s not all - those keen to get travelling as soon as Covid restrictions are lifted can enter a competition to Design Your Dream Trip to Korea and win a free trip in 2021 (alongside other exciting prizes). Entries will be assessed by a panel of expert judges from Korea-specialist travel agencies in the UK including Audley, Bamboo Travel, The Dragon Trip and Magical Explorer.
With the recent announcement that Korea may introduce travel bubbles as early as July, a return to international travel feels closer than ever. In the meantime, KTO London hopes to keep you inspired with the campaigns and competitions mentioned above, as well as an exclusive Walking Tour (Where London Meets Korea) and more events coming up this summer. So keep an eye out on our social media for all the opportunities to discover Korea on your doorstep and we look forward to welcoming you for the trip of a lifetime very soon.
