Its spa and leisure facilities, once focusing on fun, have been expanded to encompass the ideals of healing and rest to keep up with the times. Paradise Spa DOGO is a therapeutic theme park that combines entertainment with hot spring bath.

Paradise Spa DOGO opened in 2008 and is successfully operated in a vast size. With a land area of about 25,067 square meters, the facility can hold up to 5,000 guests. Visitor satisfaction is high thanks to the diverse facilities that all age groups enjoy and the development of wide-ranging water programs. The “water workout class” developed with the research team of Professor Kim Ki-hong at the Department of Recreation and Leisure Sports at Dankook University provides a chance to try out rare water sports.

Large Size Resort Spa packed with Fun activities

520,000 people visit the spa each year. This is no surprise as it takes over half a day just to sample the facilities including the hot springs, indoor and outdoor spa and the leisure pool. Once you step inside the entrance, hot spring pools are located to either sides. Thermal water contains sulfur good for skin, fatigue, and health. Sulfur fights aging, particularly perfect for the elderly suffering from rheumatism, neuralgia, and gout. Besides, it plays a key role in treating dermatitis or atopic dermatitis with a detoxing and sterilizing effect. There is even a legend in which a crane manages to fly again after treating its leg wound with thermal water.

The men’s pool and women’s pool switch places every day and are each called A pool and B pool. The outdoor hot springs are equipped with a dry and wet sauna, bathe pool, event pool and hinoki open-air bath. Other attractive spaces include the infinity spa with a view of the entire outdoor facility, aqua play with slides and cup fountain for the children and adults, indoor and outdoor running water pool and the regular hot spring water pool.

The most impressive of it all are the wave pool and bathe pool. The wave pool is an outdoor facility that can be used all year round with sulfur hot spring water waves. The water level is over 1.8 meters in the deep parts, so those who are short or cannot swim well must put on a life vest. The spread-out bathe pool is composed of the dream bath, relaxing riding, stretching, floating, bench jet, neck shower, basha wall, body massage, hydro jet, amethyst sauna and couple massage. The place where the indoor spa is located has a high ceiling of 10 meters. Thanks to the glass that takes up half of the space, you can enjoy the landscape while leisurely swimming inside the water.

If you want to enjoy hot spring bath with an open view, the outdoor bath would be a perfect choice. Since it is a Hinoki bath that has the same effect as forest therapy, you might feel as if you were in hot springs in Japan. Soaking in warm water will release fatigue and stress from your body. The colder the weather is, the better the outdoor bath is. Keep your head cool in the air and your body warm in water. And you will see what it is like to be in heaven. The best part of Paradise Spa DOGO is that you can stay late at night enjoying spa! Since it is open until 10 P.M., you can be more romantic in spa, looking up at the starry sky. Safe and Free underwater Workout

The “water workout class” is conducted at the bathe pool. The water workout program was created through an agreement between the City of Asan, Dankook University and Paradise Spa DOGO. Each year, the system and program details are gradually improved and updated. This is the third year. As of November 2019, the basic program is free and operated twice a day at 13:00 and 15:00. An announcement is made before the workout begins to recruit participants, and the program is carried out for 25 to 30 minutes.

The effects of water workout are amazing. The main purpose of the program is to improve muscle strength and flexibility. Inside the water where buoyancy applies, it is possible to workout comfortably regardless of your physical condition. It is great that seniors with weak joints and muscle strength as well as those who are overweight can do without fear of injury. Also, inside the water, equal pressure applies to the whole body, speeding up the metabolism. Fatigue substance and by-products are quickly discharged, helping reduce edema. Try it if you want to workout in addition to enjoying your hot spring bathing.
